I do not like math, like at all. I failed my pre-test for math and I have to retake certain chapters again. My math teacher makes me hate math even more! She is so rude and gets mad when people do not understand what she is saying! I always get ahead so I do not have to go to class as often. Which causes me to not really learn to subject because I am doing it to just get it done. So, my teacher has made me hate math even more, which sucks because I have to be good at math to become any type of vet.

Last Day of English
Still super upset that tomorrow is our last day of English class. I mean, it's great that class ends soon, but I don't like the fact that you won't teach us next semester. You made english fun! One of the best teachers I have ever had!

Future Career Plans
I think instead of being a Marine Biologist, I want to become an Aquatic Veterinarian. I love taking care and helping animals, and I also love ocean animals. I think this job will fit my personality and skills better as well. 😊 So excited for my future 😆

Reason for the Season
~ Reason for the Season...
Is Christmas still about a birth,
Angels, shepherds, peace on earth?
Or is it now about a wreath,
a tree with lights and what’s beneath?
Is Christmas still a manger stall
or is it now a crowded mall?
Parents scurry and children pause
to pin their hopes on Santa Claus.
While we complain of corporate greed
there is a thought that we should heed.
The fault is not what’s on the shelves.
The problem is within ourselves.
If Jesus Christ lives in our heart
then Christmas comes with each day’s start.
And every day, not once a year
we get to share our Christmas cheer.

My birthday!
I turned 19 on November 25, 2015! I am so old, I need to go buy depends or something. My family ended up going to a mexican restaurant for my birthday and my mom and aunt got Corona Lime Margaritas; oh my goodness it was HEAVEN! They both could not finish it so I drank both of them. They both were still 90% full! My vision turned blurry very quick!

Paper title
So, I was going to do my Argumentative Paper on Why Video Games are not a Sport; but I have been playing Fallout 4 for 2 weeks straight, and it changed my whole perspective. I did research as well and I now understand why video games should be a sport! You will have to wait to read my paper though!

My Birthday
My birthday is November 25 and this is the first year that I am not really excited about it. I have no plans, my best friends live in different states, I have no school, and I have to work. I told my parents that I do not want to go out to eat because I know my parents are struggling with money, so I told them to save it. I will not lie, it is sort of a bummer that I will not be doing ANYTHING at all. I guess I finally understand that not every birthday will be fun when you are an adult.
Math Class = Boredom
Have you ever been so bored in a class, that you just doodle on paper instead of listen? That is how I feel in my math class. We HAVE to show up, but I already know the information so I just sit and doodle the entire class. The only problem is, this class is two hours long! That is two hours of complete boredom! Instead of doodling, I am blogging. I might as well get some classes assignments done while I am being tortured in math.

Last Night
I was up until 1 in the morning because my cousin Mitch Aguiar had a MMA Title fight in Norfolk, VA. I had to wake up at 5 in the morning to work a double shift at the vet today. Hopefully I do not fall asleep at work.

Waiting...
Waiting for the sun to show its ray
for this world is way to grey
Waiting for everyone to smile
so all the pain is gone for awhile
No more suffering, no more fear
Waiting for the day the Son is here
Waiting...
Waiting for my wallet to be filled
no more cringing when I am billed
Waiting for my family to stop being worried
I feel like our faith has been buried
What happened to our smiles and laughter
Waiting for the day we get over this disaster

Courtney Wonders Part 2
Why do people drink to get drunk? Many people now a days will hate the drink they are chugging or the shots they are taking, but keep doing it just to get drunk. I do not understand it. If I drink, I want to be able to like my drink. Maybe I am different or I skipped over the "I have to be drunk" phase, because everyone around me just drinks to get drunk.

Blog 20!
This is blog twenty! I made it! Hopefully, the next twenty blogs will be easier and better paced out. If class ends December 2nd, does this mean we have less blogs to do? If so, that would be so amazing because I do not have an interesting life. Well, it is interesting, but not interesting enough to blog about. The same stuff happens everyday. Besides when I blog about my life, then it is interesting.
Procrastination
If every week someone was named the queen of procrastination, I would be it this week. Hands down, no competition. I am rushing to do my twenty blogs before midnight and it is eleven-twenty-one at night. I have to do a PowerPoint for tomorrow so my brother can give it to my group member tomorrow for a stupid SDV project. As I said in my last blog, my head hurts and I feel like I'm going to puke. I wish I could just go to sleep but I was very irresponsible and waiting until last minute. Whoops.
Hookah Bar
I had my first experience at a Hookah Bar tonight. It was full of laughter, dancing, singing, and of course... smoking. One thing I would not recommend is smoking three flavors in two and a half hours. My brothers told me, "You need to breathe in as hard and much as possible." Doing that for that long, I now have a raging headache. It is so hard to focus when my head is pounding.

My Feet
Have your feet ever been in a lot of pain? I was at Busch Gardens from 12 pm to 11 pm. It literally feels like I just walked on sharp rocks, barefoot. I am finally laying in bed and I can not feel my legs, or feet. I walked over 10 miles today. It was totally worth it though. Howl-O-Scream was amazing!!!

Reckless Person
Another story involving my awesome brother Zach. It was a summer night and Zach decided to take my two best friends Andrea, Jessica and I to the movies. After the movies we decided that we did not want to go home, so we stayed out. This was in Kansas so we were at KSTATE University campus. It was not until two in the morning that we got home. Everyone was asleep when we got home, so we decided to go back out. We wanted to have a bonfire in the woods. My brother had the idea to brings "drinks", so we grabbed the bottle of Vodka from our cabinets. My friends and I drank almost the entire bottle that night, leaving Zach with a little because he was driving. On the way home, we were getting followed by a cop. Freaking out, Zach sped up a little bit and pulled into a neighborhood to lose the cop (yes, we actually hid from the law). When we got home, Zach filled the Vodka bottle up with water so no one would ever know what happened. We forgot about it until my mom one day said she wanted to mix her drink with some Vodka. As I watched her pour the Vodka into her glass, Zach and I were just wide eyed staring. My mom did not taste any difference. It was so funny because she was saying she felt a buzz, but only Zach and I knew that it was water. To this day, my parents have not found out. Except maybe now, since my mom follows my blog. It was one hell of a night!
Courtney Maury's Day Off
Kind of like Ferris Bueller, but I did not pretend to be sick to my parents. I did in fact email my teacher and pretend to be sick, but it was only my lame psychology teacher. I was headed to class but got stuck in horrible traffic, so my brother and I decided to go get lunch. After jamming out in the car and dancing like complete idiots, we arrived at Buffalo Wild Wings! Thursday has the special for cheap boneless wings, and boy do I LOVE boneless wings. Afterwards, we decided to go to Party City and look around. Party City is like a Toys R Us to my brother and I. We went straight for the masks and took a bunch of pictures. My mom had texted me asking, "Are you cleaning the house like I asked?" So I did what any other typical college kid would do; I sent her a picture of us at Party City! My brother and I have the best adventures ever. This is just the most recent adventure of thousands.

Stranger Danger!
The other day, I was sitting in my Psychology class with fifteen minutes before my class started. I was on my phone being a typical 18 year old. All of a sudden, I hear someone say, "Do you love Jesus?" It scared me, especially when I turned to look at who it was, the guy had been right next to me! His head was right above my right shoulder! Talk about a lack of personal space! When I finally got my mind back together that this was actually happening, I had replied, "Yes." This old man looked at me dead in the eye and said, "Good." He then walked out of my classroom. I was so confused as to why he walked into my classroom and pursued to ask me that. Long story short, my parents made me tell the campus police and they keep bugging me with the same exact questions. Like, read the paper that I had to fill out people.

Blogging
I have been so busy lately. I have not been able to blog as much as I should. I know I am way behind. I have been super busy and have not been near my phone or laptop lately. I am just now getting to my room and being able to blog. It is 12:05 am, I am tired and I have another busy day tomorrow. I will try my hardest to keep trying to blog. I have some serious catching up to do. Be ready for some random blogs coming soon.

Tres con Leche
I learned how to make Tres con Leche yesterday! It is so delicious and my favorite. Tres con Leche is a cake that has three types of milk in it and it makes the cake very moist and soft. It is very easy to make.
Basketball
I signed up to play on the Thomas Nelson Community College Basketball Team and I am extremely nervous. I have not played since freshman year of high school. When I played in high school I had gotten injured three times in one season. I broke my finger, ankle, and I popped my knee out of place. Ever since that season I have been terrified to play the sport again. I even sold my basketball shoes and put away the jersey for good. I miss the sport like crazy; I remember how happy I was (before I got injured of course.) As the season is arriving both good and bad nerves are rising up. My family is split on the feelings of me playing again. It is very scary to think about me playing again because I was always in the emergency room. I do not know what to do and I try to turn to my family about it but they do not know either.

My Hair
I dyed my hair back to my orginal brown today. I then added some caramel low lights to make it more Fall like. It turned out amazing! I have not had my natural hair color since I was eight-years-old! It is amazing how long I had blonde hair!

My Backyard
I love sitting on my back deck listening to all the sounds at night. I have a mini lake in my backyard and I hear the frogs and crickets. It is like a little symphony. Every once in awhile I can hear fish jump out of water. It is very peaceful, and I like to think alot when I am out here. I can see the houses lights across the lake reflecting off the water. I take my dog out here so he can play and chase bugs. So while I listen to the frogs and crickets, I will hear my dog chasing his tail and trotting in the grass. It truly is perfect out here. The stars are amazing, they are so bright.

Bush Gardens
I took a trip to Bush Gardens yesterday and it was amazing! I fell in love with it super quick. My dad, oldest brother and I are the huge roller coaster fans in my family. Well, my dad and brother a big fans of giant drops that are about 200 feet; but I will do a drop if it is less than 200 feet. I enjoyed all of the different places to eat. My favorite food place was Das Festhaus! I had the German Platter for lunch and saw the show! I hope I get a season pass. That is where I would be most of my weekends!

My Grandparents Visiting
My grandparents are visiting from Illinois and my grandpa is grumpy all the time. He does not like my dog either, which is a huge problem for me! All my dog has done was try to lick him and my grandpa hates my dog. My grandpa keeps making comments about putting the dog in a giant cage outside. My parents keep telling me "hold your tongue" because I make smart remarks after he says mean stuff about my dog.

My best friends
I met my first best friend, Andrea, in the seventh grade when we both lived in Enterprise, Alabama. We had the same Physical Education class and would steal each others shoes and run around the gym. But we did not become best friends right away. After seventh grade, we separated to different schools; she went to Old Junior and I went to Dauphin. We both still lived in Enterprise, Alabama though. It was not until ninth grade when we met again. Both our fathers had gotten orders to move to Fort Riley, Kansas. Andrea had walked into my Freshman Communications class and I recognized her instantly. She did not recognize me until I said the school we both went to and Alabama. We were best friends right then and there. We did everything together and acted like sisters. She knows everything about me, my fears, secrets, desires, etc. Even though I now live in Virginia and she lives in Texas, we are still super close and talk every single day. I would not be who I am today if it was not for her.
Next, is my second best friend Jessica. I met her my freshman year of high school in Kansas. She was on the same Volleyball team as me. She became more close to me when she played Softball with Andrea and I. Jessica and I interned at Sunset Zoo together in Kansas, we would go out to lunch together and drive together to Softball practice afterwords. She knows a lot about me as well, we went to every school game together and went to every party together.
Lastly, is my best friend who I have known my entire life. She knows more about me than any one of my other friends. She is the one I go to for everything; she is my mother. I am proud to say that I am close to my mom, closer than some girls are with their mothers. I have to talk to my mom every night and can not stay mad at her for more than an hour. She is my main best friend. I would be completely lost without her, I would not be who I am today if it was not for her. My mom and I are like a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich; some people could do with just the Peanut Butter or just the Jelly, but not me, I need my mom.

Military Brats- Tougher Than Normal Children?
I am not saying all kids are weak compared to Military Brats either. I just think we go through a lot in our lives more than a typical kid. Lets go back to the whole "moving" fact. Military Brats move every couple of years whether they want to or not. We have to say bye to loved ones, or friends and pray that we will find new ones who are the same as the old. I have friends all over the world, and family all over the country. Now some people may like the fact of moving because of "new starts", but "new starts", starts to get really old really quick. I have moved to 4 states in the past 8 years, and i became a military brat when I was 10 years old. I had lived in one state for 10 years before my mom and step dad got married in 2006. Imagine how many states I would have had to move to adding on the extra 10 years!
We go through a lot more than a typical child! We have a lot on our plate, we can not do certain things either. Everything a Military Brat does, effects their parents job. If I were to get pulled over for a ticket, my dad would get in trouble by his boss; FOR MY ACTIONS! Military Brats have to watch their backs as well now. Times are getting hard for people in the military and their families. We have been so called "trained" to be tough, to learn how to deal with things. We have to learn how to deal with heartbreak, and how to get over something real quick. Normal kids do not have to deal with any of that as much as we do. That is why I say Military Brats are a lot tougher than normal kids.
